Yes. You need to be a member to participate in our events. That said – come along to any of our events and have a look at what we do first if you like! If you do like, we’ll sign you up.
Membership is $5 for the year if you’re a UTS Student or Staff Member. For external members, the cost is $25 a year.
Of course! It doesn’t matter if you’re a student of another university or not a student at all – you can still join as long as you are over the age of 18. Many of our members are from different universities or are not students.
Recently the sign-up process has changed.
To become a member of the club, you will need to go to this page and click the “Join” button.
You will need to create an activate account if you don’t already have one and you will need to pay through paypal.
Once that’s done you’ll be added to our membership list and get a receipt.
When you’re in an event let one of our Exec or Lieutenants know you’re a new member and we can organise an official EGG card for you.
Potentially, everything. Not kidding. Our members’ interests range all over the visible and invisible spectrum of gaming, and if you want to play something with us chances are that we’ll happily accept!
We game! We run many, many covering many areas of gaming both electronic and non-electronic. For example, we run
- Weekly: Console Gaming sessions, PC LAN Gaming sessions, Non-Electronic Gaming sessions, general chillouts.
- Less Regularly: LAN Parties (usually lasting 60 hours or so), City Raids, Modelling and Painting Days, Geek Bar Trivia Nights, International Talk Like A Pirate Day celebrations, Arcade Crawls and much much more.
Most of these events are, naturally, free.
We’re also a campus repository of nerd culture of all kinds.
